3/19 Mock DBQs

Today we completed a re-write of our mock DBQs.  Students must use the following sentence stems (or similar) where appropriate to address frequently missed points in their essays.  Students should re-write using the stems regardless of whether or not the missed the points the first time.  After, highlight where each stem was used a create a color key that tells what color corresponds to which point.


Context: “To understand (topic) it is important to understand the context of (topic).  {Use in the very 1st sentence!}

Outside Evidence: “Evidence beyond the documents shows…”

Support an Argument: “This (doc or evidence) proves my thesis because…”

Complexity: “(topic) also happened in American history when…”
