Today we setup finished working on our Historical Thinking Skills practice in class, turned in the syllabus/contract/summer homework if needed, and then moved on to some new stuff.
First we setup binders. If you didn’t have a binder today, get one and show it to me asap for points! If you need to setup your binder, use the guide below:
Then, we reviewed the 9 Historical Time Periods and 7 Thematic Learning Objectives (TLOs) that organize all information in our class. This was done through an in-class group activity which was not collected. Please review the Time Periods and TLOs so you understand them!
I also provided everyone with the dates for every unit test this year. Please see me if you’d like those dates.
Finally, we had a brief discussion about the first 2 types of questions that APUSH will ask us: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Short Answer Questions (SAQs). We will practice these a lot this year! For now, review the guide below and get a basic understanding for them:
Don’t forget to sign up for Remind if you haven’t already! Have a great weekend APUSHers!
